Middagduik, huisrif Baron Palace Shorty, 12 liter, 6 kg, stalen tank Simone is weer de guide, gezellig! Deze keer duiken er twee Duitsers mee, die ik gezien heb bij het volleyballen. Van tevoren vertelt Simone me dat de twee slechts Scuba Dover zijn (tot 12 meter) en dat de dikkere snel door zijn lucht heen is. Maar daar hebik geen probleem mee, het is mijn laatste duik en daar ga ik van genieten! Simone en ik zijn aan het kletsen als de twee Duitsers aangekleed en al buiten komen! We moeten hard lachen en gaan onszelf dan ook maar klaar maken. De duikbriefing is deze keer kort: we nemen de zuid zijde van het rif. Simone voorspelt een lange duik van 70 tot 80 minuten. Ik heb de camera (Lumix) bij me, want we zullen niet zo diep gaan. De duik is niet heel bijzonder. Wel errug relaxed, ik speelde met mijn boyency en kon makkelijk allerlei rifjes onderzoeken. Ik zie een blue spotted ray die ik achtervolg en film. We gaan een aantal rif-blokken af. Het meest bijzondere is misschien wel weer die zwart-oranje slak achtige ding. Ik onderzoek de rifjes en maak foto’s. Of misschien is toch het meest bijzonder dat ik het allemaal onder controle heb. Behalve op de terugweg, als we in ondiep water duiken. Om lucht te verliezen trek ik aan de emergency ventiel onder aan het vest, maar dan is het vest ook echt leeg en zak ik (50 cm) meteen naar de bodem! Beetje lucht erbij en ik heb het weer onder controle. Duikbril is geen enkele keer met water gevuld! Als ik aan land kom, vraagt het mannetje waar mijn camera is! Die is er inderdaad niet meer, terwijl ik em net nog had toen ik mijn flippers uit deed! Snel weer onder water en onder de trap ligt inderdaad de camera! Pfew!

We intercepted a school of wild dolphins and jumped into the water with them. Me and dad already had our wetsuits on so we went in with full scuba gear, whilst others, who might have been having a nap, would only have time to go snorkelling. Simply amazing dive. The best one to this date! The dolphins chose a diver each and started playing with us. First you get eye contact as they go around you. Then they start mimicking you (If you "clap" your hands, they will "clap" their fins. If you turn/roll around, they will do the same!) Used up air very fast, but it was worth it! Avg. depth: 11,5m

beautiful house reef at Sheraton hotel (we should have stayed there!!!) highlights of the dive: - broke the lock system of my cetatek fins - and had to rave back and forth to the shop for a new pair of fins.... in the water it was awesome : loads is sea life including a rockfish, puffer giant turtle and the usual local marine life : butterflyfish, goldies, parrotfish bannerfish.... the only missing species was the clownfish! door with gopro and 100mm macro - the 100mm is really tough to use!

Cave with swim through, relatively shallow and goes in and then splits into two chambers that you could surface on either side in the chambers - left side shallows up right side remains with some depth Two large scorpionfish in cave. 42m dive (drift) Nudibranch & Tiger flatworm, blue spotted rays and usual reef fish.

Napoleon wrasse on descent, fab. Rays, boxfish, trumpets, big shoals fusilier, tang, glassfish, parrot, WHITE TIP SHARK under coral ledge, fantastic, about 3-4 feet which scarpered PDQ. Huge kingfisher blue triggerfish, grouper, lionfish, nudibranc. Swam up and down coral garden channels, great dive xx
