  • I love scuba!

What I am about to tell you is that ever since I took my first step towards scuba, you will understand that I'm talking on a revolutionary scale. We're talking about a thing that, once you consider taking care of yourself without doing at least a small subset of something related to scuba, you are not considering scuba.

COZUMEL, MEXICO Caballito Del Caribe 1325-1416 A lot of fun on this one. Israel (Caballito's DM) redeemed himself. He brought down a jar of turkey and brought the fish out big time! By the time we finished, we had three large Nassau groupers and a branch of larger chubs surrounding us. Several spotted morays but the features was a medium-sized green moray who liked the turkey. Paul said he nibbled on my fin once when I was pointing something out to Wendy. Israel and I got up close to the green moray. The moray must have wondered what my jar-shaped noisemaker (rattle) was, because he came close several times to get a better look at it. Good dive!

    Palancar Deep

COZUMEL, MEXICO Caballito del Caribe 1058-1147 Used Wendy's MX5 to get photos of two turtles. One of which came out okay, but not great. Saw some good coral and damselfish shots, but camera washes out coral with flash most of the time. A couple of good shots of Wendy. Two guys from the Houston Hammerheads dive club joined us. It was readily apparent that had been several years since their last dive. Had fun!

COZUMEL, MEXICO Caballito del Caribe 1157-1247 Down on the reef again. Saw the same nurse shark twice, but it was too fast for a photo both times. Israel had the food, so we had a mutton snapper with three groupers for company the whole time. I sat on the sand waiting for a photo as Israel coaxed a spotted moray out, but the largest grouper and the snapper kept chasing the moray back in. Israel took Doug and Steve up, then came back. As I ran low on air, I went up for my stop just as Israel spotted a big turtle along the reef at the edge of the wall. Good dive!
