Wrack, deutsches Dampfschiff, ca 1920 gesunken, viele einzelne Barracudas, Papageienfische, Trompetenfische, Lionfishes, Angelfish, Riesenmuscheln, Kugelfisch, Boxfish, an Koralle die linke Hand verbrannt, Fische waren nicht schüchtern und immer sehr nah an den Tauchern

Katastrophaler Ausrüstungszustand, aber leider ohne Alternative

Die Basis hat mehrere kleine Geschäfte in verschiedenen Hotels in Varadero. Tauchgänge werden überwiegend in Gruppen von 7-9 Personen durchgeführt. Die Ausrüstung ist wie alles auf Kuba, alt und schlecht gewartet. Ich hatte das Gefühl der Grundsatz "no risk, no fun" ist hier an der Tagesordnung. Sauerstoffschläuche, Flaschenventile, Finimeter und die Jackets verlieren fast allesamt Unterwasser Luft. Auf keinen Fall für Anfänger zu empfehlen. Allerdings gibt es auch keine Alternative außer die eigene Ausrüstung auf Kuba.

Decent dive centre

Good dive centre for bay of pigs and they were linked to our hotel in Varadero (Royalton Hicacos). The only real critisism was I was glad i had my own kit as there kit looked a bit worse for wear.

Wonderful People to Dive With!

We travelled to Varadero April 2014, and went on 6 dives over 3 days with this dive centre. The cost includes all rentals, and there is no discounts for bringing your own equipment. They do not rent tanks separate, but this is a government regulation apparently... They picked us up every day from the resort. We did a wall dive on the other side of the island, I enjoyed the bus ride and getting to see more of real Cuba. The staff was always friendly and helpful, I felt comfortable. We had a GoPro, and they were really good at pointing out stunning picture opportunities! I have never before seen beautiful coral and such a plentiful variety of vibrantly coloured fish like I did in Cuba. It was amazing! I had a wonderful vacation, and would go again in a second!
