Another great dive on the fishing vessel at Mbike. On this dive once we got to the bottom, we explored the right hand side of the wreck. The two black/blue nudibranchs were on the sand at 27m, the yellow/blue was on a rock under the bow of the ship. The lionfish were near the same place as last time, on the top of the bow. Their position meant I couldn't safely get a good pic, but was please the orange lionfish in the cover photo for this dive was sitting on the side of the wreck near the bow. After exploring the wreck we continued to check out the reef. The vis was not as good as previous dives, and my camera battery ran out well before my air got low :-(

First boat dive while on a day trip to Mbike. This site was about 15mins from Mbike. Dropped down to 20m and drifted slowly with the current exploring the wall. Saw a huge school of the pretty blue fish (yet to be identified) that are very skittish and hard to get photos of. Kept trying, but not so sucessful - vis was not great so couldn't use flash and at 20m just not enough light. Saw a reef shark, managed to get a reasonable pic of it, though it didn't come anywhere near as close as those at Uepi. One of the other divers pointed out the shrimp and eel to me - was pleased the pics of those came out ok. Brushed my hand against a black ?coral with white spines - stung a bit! Haven't been able to identify it yet either.
