  • I started out snorkeling in Guam in 1997, and shortly after one of my co-workers suggested I start scuba diving. I went through open water and dove once in a while but not very often even though I loved it. I made friends with a guy named Scott and he started me on scuba again, and I began to dive several times a week, and started taking more classes until I reached Assistant Instructor. I went through IDC but could not afford the test and did not feel ready either. In 2001 I moved to Florida with my wife and stopped diving, I only dove one or 2 times in many years until my sister suggested I look into scuba diving as a way of life. I thought is was a great idea and went to the dive shop. I was introduced to Doug by Underwater Connection, he took me through the whole program to Instructor level. I am currently working on my MSDT, but it has been slow going due to life choices and I am still working with Doug. Doug has been and is still a fantastic Instructor and I hope to continue to work with him.
