    Molokini Backwall

Jill's 35th dive Back side of crater, starting near the east edge. Dove with Rebecca as our dive master. She was good and from Ann Arbor. Mike, one of the twins was on the boat and remembered us. Saw one eel and lots of fish and one massive manta that circled us during our safety stop. Not much current. I descended very easily, no ear problems. Jill had some problems cleaning and was a bit spastic with her arms, but she made it down eventually. The wall was beautiful and we heard whale song the whole time. Very good dive. Had lunch inside the crater during our surface interval. Jill thought they were too stern on the boat and preferred another crew

    The Wrist

The Wrist, 2 nice lobster. Went with Dive Duck Key. Jill and kids snorkels while I dove. I followed snuba divers and had to come up with nearly 2000lbs left. Still was fun and liked the dive company.

    Fish Rain

Fish Rain, again - this time we started over the reef where we found a few bombs from world war II, which they had told us to look out for and they showed us one embedded in the rock above the water line. Also found a nudibranch with scientific name pseuoceros ferrugineous, you can see him here http://www.wetwebmedia.com/hiinverts2.htm. (need to find common name), but he was purple with a yellow rim and was cruising around on a rock next to an old bomb. Saw a fleeting glimpse of a hammerhead in the distance toward the end of the dive when we swam out into the blue. The reef was the best part of this dive, very pretty and lots of critter, and I found a sizable yellow margin morey eel, thus continuing my eel streak.

    Hawea Bay

Kayak dive Kayak north out of Kapalua Bay Met Paul from Kapalua Dive Company at Kapalua Bay. BC goes on tank, tank goes in back of kayak, fins, mask strapped in front. Paddled north to Hawea Bay, about 15 minutes. Paul moored the kayaks and unloaded the tanks. I zipped up wetsuit and put on mask and fins and got in water. He helped with my BC & then did his. We descended. Great underwater topography - amazing lava formations. Lots of little fish, 3 turtles, 3 eels, 1 very large moray eeld. Beautiful and easy dive. Paul navigated us right back to the kayaks. he handled putting the tanks back in. Everything else was easy. I'm becoming a fan of Maui shore diving & would do a kayak dive again.
