Scuba diving locations in Tanzania:
- The Mafia Island Marine Park features protected pristine coral and marine life, including visiting whale sharks in season, reclusive dugongs among the seagrass between Mafia and the Rufiji River Delta, and leatherback and green turtles visiting for breeding.
- The Songo Songo Archipelago has amazing, and almost untouched, reefs.
- Pemba Island's west side features sheltered and pretty reefs which are home to large numbers of reef fish.
- The east of Pemba has mostly drift diving due to its exposed coastline so there are plenty of big game fish such as tuna and Giant trevally in large shoals and hammerhead sharks.
- The southern tip of Zanzibar, Kizimkazi, is perfect for drift diving over pristine reefs.
- Mnemba Atoll has shallow and easy dives inside the lagoon and fabulous wall dives on the outside.
