Autodromo Brings Back The Monoposto With Mobil 1

What I love about the Boutique Editions is that Zenith visually ties them together. This doesn't make them just nice standalone releases but also a great series of collectible watches. Specifically, with this series of Defy Skyline Boutique Editions, I can imagine collectors acquiring all three of them. The models have the same beautiful colorway, but all three are distinctive in their presence. This is not to say there aren't plenty of other options. goedkope breitling horloge Fratello recently compiled a gift guide for watch enthusiasts looking to buy something else at this time of year. You can see that guide here. I, however, have a weak spot for watch hunting, so let's do some of...

por FtMyersTom el 19 de julio de 2018

Our sport and love of the oceans has given us so much pleasure we owe it

to the environment to return the favor. Due to intentional abuse of the

oceans and reefs, naturally occurring weather fluctuations and diseases

the reefs have suffered varying degree of damage. Reefs, to some

degree, can restore themselves if the damage is not to severe. But

unfortunately now in many cases it is.With our ability to

destroy we have the ability help restore. This is exactly what the Coral

Restoration Foundation CRF does. CRF is 100% non profit and uses 100%

volunteer divers to do the work of reef restoration. Just recently the ...

Reef Ball Foundation: rebuilding reefs one ball at a time!

por Ksso el 22 de noviembre de 2013

At Dema I had the opportunity to meet with Todd Barber who manages the Reef Ball Foundation.

For those who haven't heard about reef balls, they're basically concrete hemispheres laid on the bottom of the ocean and planted with corals to build an artificial reef. As time passes, coral will eventually grow to totally cover the ball and make it indistinguishable from regular reefs.

I knew about such initiatives but I had no idea the scale Todd pushed it to - with over 750.000 reef balls deployed in 70 countries and 7000 sites in over 20 year - that's a hell lot of reef balls ! ...

Inspiring Ted Talk by Sylvia Earle

por Ksso el 23 de septiembre de 2013

I stumbled on this TED talk by Sylvia Earle and if you haven't seen it already you need to take a few minutes of your time and get inspired. Earth and the oceans are our life support system - we need to learn everything we can about it and we need to take care of it.

Sylvia is an amazing explorer. Wikipedia reads : Earle has led more than 100 expeditions worldwide involving in excess of 7,000 hours underwater in connection with her research.[13] From 1998 to 2002 she led the Sustainable Seas Expeditions, a five-year program to study the United States National Marine Sanctuary sponsored by the National Geographic Society and funded by the Goldman Foundation. An expert on the impact of oil...
